DMCI Presents “Downtown Moncton Centre-ville ❤️ Arts” : A Free Celebration of Music, Visual Art & Performance in the Heart of the City
Thursday, June 19, 2025 – Downtown Moncton – Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc. (DMCI) is thrilled to announce the launch of Downtown Moncton Centre-ville ❤️ Arts—a brand-new initiative that brings musical, visual, and performance arts into the streets of downtown Moncton. The public is invited to attend the official launch event on Friday, June 27th, which is free and family-friendly.

This exciting event is made possible through a dynamic collaboration with Sistema New Brunswick, the renowned youth music program known for transforming communities through the arts. Their talented young musicians will take centre stage throughout the evening, in collaboration with Sistema NB’s Pops NB Festival, providing powerful live performances that highlight the next generation of New Brunswick artists.
“Sistema NB believes that great art is for everyone and that it has the power to improve the lives of children and their families and enhance our society.” says Jonathan Astley, Chief Operations Officer at Sistema NB. “Downtown Moncton Centre-ville ❤️ Arts is a perfect opportunity to put our young musicians centre stage, collaborating together with local artists to celebrate creativity, build community, and inspire a shared vision for a brighter future through music and the arts.”
The event begins at 4:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Delta Beauséjour, where Sistema NB students will perform to open the festivities. From there, attendees will join a guided art walk to the Canvas Hotel, where another live musical performance will take place alongside captivating visual art displays. The journey continues to the Crowne Plaza for a final musical performance and artistic surprises to close out the evening in celebration.
Along the way, local visual artists will be set up at each stop, showcasing their work and interacting with the public, while pop-up performances and unexpected moments will transform the downtown into a vibrant, open-air cultural space.
