From Shutter to Stamp: A History of Real Photo Postcards

With the creation of the Model 3A Brownie folding camera in 1909, Kodak allowed everyday people to photograph and create their own real photo postcards that were sent to friends and family all over the world.

A lifelong collector and historian, Brenda will talk about the history of real photo postcards, the NB photographers that created them and will share some of the unique RPPCs in her collection from Southern New Brunswick including Westmorland and Albert Counties.

Brenda P. Orr, Retired Director of Resurgo Place, Culture and Heritage, City of Moncton, Chair of the New Brunswick Museum Foundation
