Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc. (DMCI) is searching for individuals to join our DMCI Enviro Team.
Since 1977, DMCI has supported Downtown Moncton in revitalizing and growing the business community. Enviro Team Members are our ambassadors on the streets of Downtown Moncton helping uphold DMCI’s mission statement of fostering a vibrant, safe, and clean downtown.
Working in a team environment, and reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Enviro Team Member’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responding to cleanliness issues reported internally or by Downtown Merchants as requested. • Street and sidewalk cleaning, safe pick up and disposal of needles, and removing large debris. • Removing debris from curb line to prevent obstruction to storm drains.
- Identifying cleanliness issues and trends to the Operation Manager.
- Providing customer service to visitors, merchants, and residents of Downtown Moncton.
- Locating and reporting graffiti issues to the Operations Manager.
- Supporting downtown events.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL SETS REQUIRED:
- A minimum high school diploma is preferred.
- Experience in this field of work is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with groups and the public.
- A valid drivers license is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Self-motivated and energetic.
- Knowledge of the Downtown Moncton area is an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in an outdoor setting in all seasons.
- Must be comfortable working amongst all types of waste.
