ACCENT is back for 2026! This series features an array of window wraps adorning the downtown core in some unlikely spaces. We are highlighting local community members and their artwork by utilizing windows and storefronts that are currently empty or under construction. We aim to brighten our walking spaces and provide more reasons for everyone to explore downtown.

About Accent!:

Accent! Downtown Moncton Centre-ville is a new initiative designed to ignite creativity, foster community spirit, and bring energy to the heart of Downtown Moncton. 

Imagine strolling through downtown, surrounded by vibrant colours and thought-provoking art at every turn. This program is not just about beautifying our streets; it’s about weaving art into the fabric of our daily lives, making Downtown Moncton a must-visit destination that resonates with creativity and innovation for locals and visitors alike. 

The name Accent! perfectly captures the essence of the project. In both English and French, the word accent signifies highlighting with a distinctive emphasis. Just as accents in language highlight and give character to speech, the murals and artworks in this series will add a creative spark to our downtown area.
