With businesses now starting to re-open their doors, unexpected costs will occur to keep in line with the government guidelines. We understand that funds are now stretched even further than ever, but we are here to help.
The Covid-19 Re-Start Grant Program can be used to assist in the costs associated with the purchase of safety equipment required under the new guidelines as set out by the NB Chief Medical Officer, WorkSafe NB and the details laid out by the Premier at the recent announcements of the criteria required to open to the public.
- Commercial property and business owners must be located within the Business Improvement Area (BIA)
- All outstanding receivables, including Business Improvement Area levies for the subject property, must be up to date to be eligible for a grant under this program
This grant will support the purchase of required safety equipment which must be installed prior to opening. Businesses can apply to receive a maximum of $500 (spend it to get it). This is a one-time only grant to assist businesses in the reopening phase only. Under the program, only commercial property and business owners within the Business Improvement Area (BIA) will be considered. Grants will be given on a first-come first-serve basis until the budget allocation has been depleted. They will be valid for the current year only.
