Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc welcomes new Executive Director

(Moncton – Thursday, March 17, 2022) – The Board of Directors of Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc is proud to welcome Patrick Richard, BA as the organization’s new Executive Director with a starting date of March 21, 2022.

Patrick Richard joins DMCI with experience, energy, and ideas on how to keep growing Downtown Moncton NB. With a BA from l’Université de Moncton and a Human Resource Certificate from UNB, he most recently grew his career with Opportunities New Brunswick where he gained valuable experience and exposure to market development, human resources, workforce planning and supporting businesses grow in our province. Patrick is well known as one of the founders of Hub City Young Professionals that supports networking and stimulates business in the community since 2016.

Patrick knows retail and customer service from his leadership role in supporting Bass Pro establish its place in the Greater Moncton region. He has played key roles for many years in volunteering for organizations like the United Way, Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce, Hubcap Comedy Festival, Top 20 Under 40 and more.

He added, “We had received numerous solid candidates as part of a rigorous hiring process, which demonstrates the interest of our community leaders in the evolution of our Downtown.”

DMCI is an independent, non-profit organization funded by the commercial building and property owners located in the Business Improvement Area (BIA). By keeping its three pillars of CURATOR, PROMOTER, and ADMINISTRATOR in mind, it will be in a better position to make downtown Moncton a better place to work, shop, play, live, and invest.
