As a symbol of its dedication and commitment, DMCI has erected the Love Lock Fence to show support towards the continued revitalization of St. George Street.

Representing the first piece of fencing infrastructure to be installed, the Love Lock Fence is a hint of the streetscape improvements planned for St. George Street. Unveiled in the fall of 2013, the fence has been installed in Aberdeen Park to celebrate the cultural aspect of the neighbourhood and the Aberdeen Cultural Center at its heart. It has become a beacon attracting residents, patrons and tourists to St. George Street, which is fast becoming one of the most popular urban districts in Atlantic Canada.

From Vancouver Island to New Zealand, love locks are a symbol of love and commitment – Love padlocks are a custom by which padlocks are affixed to a fence, gate, bridge or similar public fixture by lovers at an increasing number of locations in the world to symbolize their love. These love padlocks are an expression of hope and humanity, connecting people around the world with the one thing that unites us all: love.
